You may have noticed that a lot of the low carb recipes I post don’t include much by way of sweeteners. This is wholly by design.
It’s not that I don’t like the flavor of something sweet, it’s mostly that by eating relatively low carb foods for a while now, my palate has changed. Yours will, too. The longer you stick to a ketogenci/low carb diet, the more you will realize that the sweet foods which once called your name as you passed by the bakery, will now smell cloying. And this part of the point.
If you fill your plate with overly sweetened (even if non-calorically) cookies and puddings and fudge, your body won’t have the chance to adapt to not eating such sweet foods, and you’ll still have those cravings. Cravings inevitably lead to cheats, and binges, and maybe right back into old habits. Trust me – I’ve been there. We’ve all been there.
